இலங்கை கணினி அவசர தயார்நிலை குழு (SLCERT) ஒரு புதிய தீங்கிழைக்கும் மென்பொருள் (malware) குறித்து “அதி அச்சுறுத்தல்” எச்சரிக்கையை விடுத்துள்ளது.
குறித்த புதிய Android malware முக்கியமான நிதித் தகவல்களைத் திருடக்கூடும் என்று இலங்கை கணினி அவசர தயார்நிலை குழு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
குறித்த malware முதன் முதலில் மார்ச் 2020இல் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டது.
அத்துடன், இது Adobe Flash மற்றும் Microsoft Word போன்ற முறையான பயன்பாடாக காட்டப்படுவதன் மூலம் அதன் தீங்கிழைக்கும் நோக்கம் மறைக்கப்படுவதாகவும் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Description
Malware is targeting over 200 financial applications including banking, money transfer services and crypto-currency wallets such as PayPal, Barclays, HSBC and Capital-One etc. This Malware is capable of reading user SMS messages in order to hijack SMS-based two factor authentication.

This Malware campaign was first identified in March 2020 and it masks its malicious intent by pretending to be a legitimate application such as Adobe flash, Microsoft Word etc.
